At MistMatch, your privacy is our highest priority. This Privacy Policy explains how Kotala Digital ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information when you use the MistMatch mobile application and related services.

• Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, date of birth, gender, and profile photos.
• Profile Data: Interests, preferences, bio, and other information you choose to share on your profile.
• Location Data: Approximate or precise location (with your permission) to show nearby users and improve match suggestions.
• Communications: Messages you exchange with other users through the in-app chat system.
• Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and crash reports.
• Usage Data: App interactions, features used, swipe patterns (in aggregate only), and session duration.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

• Create, maintain, and improve your MistMatch account and profile
• Provide smart matching suggestions based on your preferences and activity
• Enable real-time messaging and communication features
• Show nearby users based on your location settings
• Send important notifications (matches, messages, account alerts)
• Prevent fraud, enforce our Terms of Service, and maintain platform safety
• Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

• With Other Users: Your public profile information is visible to other MistMatch users as part of the matching experience.
• Service Providers: Trusted third-party providers (cloud hosting, analytics, notifications) that process data on our behalf under strict data agreements.
• Legal Requirements: When required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of our users or the public.
• Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to users.

4. Location Data

MistMatch may request access to your device's location to show you nearby people and improve match quality. Location access is optional — you can use the app without it, though location-based features will be limited. You can revoke location permission at any time in your device settings.

5. Photos and Media

Profile photos you upload are stored securely on our servers. We do not use your photos to train AI models or share them with third parties beyond what is necessary to display your profile to other users. You can delete your photos at any time from within the app.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. Some anonymized aggregate data may be retained for analytics purposes.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access, correct, or update your personal information (via in-app profile settings)
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Opt out of marketing communications
• Withdraw consent for location access or notifications
• Request a copy of your data (data portability)

8. Children's Privacy

MistMatch is intended for users aged 18 years and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If we discover that a minor has created an account, we will immediately delete the account and all associated data. If you believe a minor is using MistMatch, please contact us immediately.

9. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS), encrypted data storage, and access controls to protect your personal information. However, no system is completely immune to security risks. We encourage you to use a strong password and enable two-factor authentication if available.

10. Third-Party Services

MistMatch may use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Firebase (Google): Authentication, analytics, and push notifications
• Supabase: Database and backend services
• Google AdMob: In-app advertising (if applicable)
